recycled? Are food choices healthy or healthier? In addition, look for
products that meet one or more of the following 3G criteria:

Food items are made from healthy and whole ingredients and do not
contain high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, trans-fats,
artificial colors or flavors.
Non-food items are made from safe materials and do not pose any suspected immediate or long-term health risks.

farming Preference is given to locally grown or made goods, which
alleviates the environmental impact from shipping. (Get to know local
farmers and shop with them!)

The items include as little packaging as possible.

work in safe conditions. (Ideally, imported goods are certified Fair
Trade.) Manufacturer may give a percentage of profits to a worthy cause.
Great green tip:
$ reduce waste and benefit children by handing out just ONE treat or
treasure. If you are offering a variety of goodies, let them choose
which one theyd like to have. Theyll have fun picking and will
cherish the item more.
